Trade show receiving docks and exhibit halls are busy places during the move-in periods - and background knowledge and advance planning will go a long way in ensuring that your exhibit freight moves smoothly.
Please keep in mind the following:
* Each piece of your shipment should be properly and completely labelled at least twice. Two different types of label masters are included in your kit. Please use only the label type which matches your method of shipment.
* Do NOT schedule your freight to arrive at the convention centre or hotel dock before the published exhibitor move-in date/time. It will be refused at the dock, and may not be re-delivered to the facility when exhibitor move-in commences. You might also be invoiced separately by your carrier for a second delivery attempt.
* Courier shipments, either in advance, or at the show should always be addressed to your company name/booth # c/o Western Display. Our trained receivers bring all small package shipments to our Exhibitor Help Desk for receiving, log tracking, and immediate delivery to the correct exhibitor.
* If your trade show is at a hotel, DO NOT send your shipment in advance to the hotel. Hotels do not usually have round-the-clock receivers on duty, or secured advance storage capabilities. It is more prudent to send your shipment to Western Display following the Advance Freight procedures outlined in your Kit.
* In every case, please complete either the Advance Shipment Notification form or the Show Site Receiving Notification form included in your Kit and return it to our Exhibitor Services personnel.
It is in all exhibitors' best interests for Western Display to know the total volume, delivery method, and anticipated arrival time for all freight expected at on-site receiving during the move-in of the show. Please help by providing your specific shipping information using the shipping notification forms provided in your kit. |
